1958 Melvin Pettis open Pettis Cycle Sales. Being a Harley Davidson Dealership later add Bridgestone.

Melvin participated in various motorcycle racing events, including hair scrambles and hill climbs, on his Harley. His sons, Freddie and Larry, also competed, with a particular emphasis on flat track racing.

The legacy lives on with Larry Still racing flat track. Larry's Grandson's continued involvement in motocross. Larry and his son, Andrew, currently oversee the family-owned and operated establishment. They have successfully expanded their services to include machine work.
